Hello, I am 61 years and have been in natural health since I was 28 years old. I haven’t used any medication ever since. So here goes my COVID- 19 story with Herbs, Vitamins, Essential Oils and Flower Essences.
My youngest daughter, Zoe came home with fever, headache and body aches. 2 days later she tested positive for COVID-19.
For her fever- I started placing apple cider vinegar in compresses all over her body to hydrate her; Then I layered 5 drops of Niaouli in 1oz. Arnica macerated oil on top of that for her body aches. I continued to do this as the compresses became warm and added more vinegar to them to cool her down. She also was taking cool baths with 5 drops Ravintsara and 5 drops Lemon.
I also gave her 1000mg of Vitamin C every hour while she had the fever.
Herbs – I gave her a tsp of a Traditional Chinese Herbal formulation for Viruses every 2 hours. I also decided to give her the cleansing and detoxing herbs that I use in my Dynamic Detox Program – Liver Cleansing Herbal formulation for her Liver (2capsules) 3 times per day. Now you are probably saying why would you do that when it is suppose to be a Viral Respiratory condition. Our liver cleanses and builds our blood so it is important to help it do its job by supporting it with herbs such as Dandelion, Red beet root, Parsley leaf, Horsetail, Yellow dock root, Black cohosh root, Birch leaf, Blessed thistle, Chamomile flowers, Gentian root and Golden Rod.
To keep her bowels open and help her liver eliminate the toxins coming from the virus I had her take 2 coffee enemas per day which means she had to drink (6) fresh juices per day to keep up her electrolytes. Well after 2 days I came down with it and I started on the same program as I began Zoe on. My shins began to hurt so badly that I had Zoe rub them with the Niaouli and Arnica blend. My head hurt so bad that I had nausea and wanted to throw up but nothing would come out. Peppermint and Ginger Tea were made and taken every time we needed to drink to help with the inflammation for the whole digestive tract and the nausea. You can use 3 tea bags of each herb to1 liter of boiling water. Let steep for 8 to 10 minutes and drink continuously. To further reduce the inflammation of the digestive tract each morning we drank 1 tbsp of Aloe Vera Juice in our Granny Green apple juice with 1 tbsp liquid chlorophyll and 1 tbsp Psyllium hulls.
The tea and coffee enemas also really helped with a burning sensation that comes from the liver sending too much bile back into the stomach which is an acid organ and as we know bile and acid don’t mix. The liver is trying to get the toxins out of the body as it gets rid of the virus.
I also started sniffing Rosemary 1.8 cineole from the bottle because I noticed my sense of taste and smell had left me. Zoe’s had too. Ravintsara and Lemon essential oils were put on a Q tip directly into put into my nostrils twice daily to keep the sinuses, bronchioles and lungs open and keep the mucous from becoming too sticky. Please be careful using them this way and check to make sure your nose can handle this. If not, dilute 12 drops of Ravintsara and Lemon in 1oz. Apricot oil. We also took 2 capsules 3 times daily of an herbal formulation which contains – Fennel seed, fenugreek seed, boneset aerial parts, horseradish root extract and mullein leaf extract that soothes the respiratory tract along with 1 tsp twice daily of Black Walnut extract to oxygenate the blood and burn up excessive toxins and help to balance the blood sugar. 1 tsp three times daily of Pau d’ Arco ( Taheebo) liquid extract contains high amounts of iron, which aids the body in simulating nutrients, and the elimination of wastes. It is a powerful natural antibiotic with virus killing properties (Tenney,1983). In the bath twice daily I placed a warm compress of 1 drop Ravintsara and 1 drop Lemon essential oils with warm water on my chest to break up anything that might try to come into my chest.
As for Vitamins, Enzymes and Foods – we took (3) Zinc per day for its beneficial effects it has on the immune system which includes decreased susceptibility to and improved clinical outcomes for infectious pathogens including multiple viruses (Joachimiak, 2021) It also helps with the loss of smell and taste (Joachimiak, 2021, Ritchason,1986,). I took enzymes to help me break down my foods because my body couldn’t take in any heavy foods. We only took in juices, teas, fresh fruit each morning such as peaches, nectarines, plums, and apples along with potassium broth the first 4 days. Then my husband made my daughter and I some beef broth that we ate on the 5th day and then I asked him to make me a chicken soup with onions, celery, potatoes and garlic. I ate that for 2 more days. After two weeks, I am continuing the juices, teas, fresh fruit, salads, soups, and steamed veggies. In my opinion let your body fight the virus don’t overload it with food give it enough of the right things – Potassium, Vitamin C, Vitamin A and B Vitamins such as (Niacin B3 for the lungs 25 mg with each juice) and Liquid B12 keep your energy up and recover – 1 tsp mid morning. We also took (2) CoQ- 10 which as an antioxidant has proved to be of potential use as a treatment in diseases which are caused by oxidative stress such as cardiovascular diseases, kidney disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, and neurodegenerative diseases (Gutierrez-Mariscal FM et al. 2020)
I also reached out to my herbalist and aromatherapist friend, Diane Maiorisi, who has a machine that sends out good vibes (radio frequencies). I had her send me Stomach Disorders and Liver Cleanse. Last but not least steam inhalation twice daily of 5 drops Rosemary 1.8 cineole, 3 drops Ravintsara and 2 drops lemon in a pan of hot water. Turned boiling water off and put the essential oils in it then I put a towel over my head and breathed the vapors for 3 minutes. This really helped with my sense of my smell and taste. It is slowly coming back – I now can smell menthol from peppermint, 1.8 cineole that is in the Rosemary 1.8 cineole and Ravintsara essential oils. I can taste bitter and sweet. It sounds like a song bitter sweet. Well it has been challenging emotionally too. First of all I was angry with the Virus/ Pandemic whole deal and I became very apathetic which isn’t very much like me. I started using these flower essences- Wild Rose for apathy, Willow for resentment and boy did I have resentment; Scleranthus to keep clear me on my decisions that I was looking at making and Olive for physical fatigue. I took 4 drops under my tongue as often as needed for the first 9 days. On the 10th day I started using 4 drops Gorse for my depressive mood along with 4 drops of Self heal to take full responsibility for my health and wellbeing.
