Hello Everyone,
I am out the door to Sri Lanka to see this beautiful island of spices however I first wanted to share this Ointment for Cuts when Gardening because this is the time of year we are clearing out the summer garden and putting in the garden for winter. Each year I make a patch of salve which you can get the recipe for on page 23 and 24 of my book, Common Scents, A Practical Guide to Aromatherapy or you can purchase a ready made ointment like Golden Salve by Natures Sunshine.
Heres the recipe:
1 T. Homemade Salve or ready made (Golden Salve)
1 T. Aloe Vera Gel
3 drops Tea Tree Essential Oil
3 drops Lavender Essential Oil
6 drops Frankincense Essential Oil
In a bowl,mix the Salve and Aloe Vera Gel until they are blended well together. Add the essential oils and mix thoroughly. You will have a very cool, refreshing salve to the touch. Wash cuts thoroughly and place Ointment on cuts. Repeat as needed.
Contraindications: Do not use in pregnancy.
