I am so excited to be ending this aromatic year with a Brain-Gut Live Workshop. You won’t only be learning more about how your different systems interact but how to listen to them, and tap into their power for better health and happiness!
Do you know anything about the vagus nerve? Let me tell you a little bit about it and why it’s vital for you to know!

The vagus nerve is one of the connections between the brain and the gut. The vagus nerve is the main component of the parasympathetic nervous system that includes control of the mood, immune response, digestion, and heart rate. It sends information about the state of the inner organs to the brain via afferent fibers and because of this and its various functions, it can help us to understand why when it is blocked by a hiatal hernia we can have psychological challenges such as depression, posttraumatic stress disorder, and physical disorders in the gastrointestinal tract (Breit, et al. 2018).

Statistics reveal that 60% of adults will have some degree of a hiatal hernia by age 60, and even these numbers do not reflect the real prevalence of the condition because many hiatal hernias can be asymptomatic. You could be walking around with a hiatal hernia and not know it. But a hiatal hernia may be the root cause of a wide range of symptoms you may experience:
- Belching, Bloating, Sensitivity at the waist,
- Intestinal Gas, Hiccups, tendency to swallow air
- Lack or Limitation of Appetite, Nausea,
- Vomiting, diarrhea, constipation,
- Overall fatigue and exhaustion, Allergies
- Pain or burning in Upper chest, Heartburn, Pressure below the breastbone,
- Lung Pain, Headaches, Rapid Rise in Blood pressure,
- Pain between shoulder blades, Joint pain in extremities, TMJ, Grinding sleep in bed,
- Anxiety attacks, Dizziness, Shakiness, Mental confusion,
- Insomnia, Hyperactivity in children,
- Craving for sweets or alcohol, Candida Albicans,
- Menstrual or Prostate problems,
- Urinary difficulties, Hoarseness, Obesity
Learning from my mentor Dr. Jack Ritchason in the 90s how to adjust and self-adjust a hiatal hernia has changed my life and the life of those around me!
Jack always said that a hiatal hernia is 85% of the time an emotional problem…so let’s get in touch with our emotions and our body, to have a happier and healthier life.
I am so excited to share with you this life-changing technique in the Brain-Gut Live Workshop Saturday, December 3rd & Sunday 4th Online from 11 AM to 4 PM.
Have you ever felt butterflies fly through your stomach? When you see a loved one’s face or before an important interview?
These are signs from your body, these are evidence of the connection between your emotions and your gut – which we may also call intuition or a gut feeling.
Therefore, when you have an imbalance in your stomach and/or gut it affects heavily your emotional life and mood!
