Summer Stings: Lavender, Peppermint , Tea Tree with Clay

Hello Everyone,
Right now, I am visiting family in sunny California and as we all know no matter where you live this is the time of year that we can be stung by mosquitoes, horse flies, yellow jackets, no see -ums, hornets and bees. I find essential oils and clay combined make an excellent remedy for this kind of challenge. When we are stung : #1 it hurts, #2 it can become inflamed and swollen. #3 it can itch and when scratched it can become infected.#4 allergic reaction; if you are allergic please seek medical advice immediately.

The essential oils of Lavender, Tea Tree and Peppermint are the ones that I, personally use when I have bitten by an insect. Lavender is known for its soothing and calming properties which is very beneficial after being bitten. The known antiseptic properties of Tea Tree help with any bacteria that could be picked up by the insect or from scratching the bite. I use Peppermint because of its natural analgesic properties due to its menthol content. The traditionally known benefits of Bentonite Clay is that it draws out impurities while taking down inflammation and swelling.
